Formerly the Partner With Youth Campaign and now called the Strong Kids Campaign!

Our goal is to raise $500,000 for 2009.

Strong Kids giving opportunities are now online!

Go to http://www.ymcastrongkids.org/ymcauserstep1.asp?p=wi click on your Green Bay YMCA location of choice or Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya to begin to make your gift. It's so easy.

Funds from the Strong Campaign provide program support and financial assistance to families who need it most.  Everyone belongs at the YMCA - with your contribution we can ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate in the YMCA because of inability to pay.

Our success is measured by the number of lives we touch. By working together we can give more kids the opportunity to grow strong in spirit, mind and body.

In 2008, the Greater Green Bay YMCA provided nearly $1.7 million in scholarships and program subsidies. Community donations to the annual Strong Kids Campaign go directly toward providing scholarships to those in need and subsidizing our youth and community development programs.  Every dollar raised stays right in your community.

Strong Kids funds help the YMCA subsidize the following programs:

Swim Smart - Swim lessons offered free of charge to children at 11 designated at risk schools.

Youth in Government - Provides 60 9th - 12th grade students hands on learning experience with our government and its procedures.

Y-Club and Y-Night- A positive, chaperoned, weekly recreational program for youth in grades 4-8.

Teen Adventure Program - Full day summer program for 11-14 year olds, serving over 600 teens.

Special Populations - Weekly recreational activities and monthly special events for approximately 60 cognitively and physically disabled individuals, ranging in age from 16-72.

Youth Programs - Swimming, gymnastics, preschool gym & swim, youth sports, and many other programs, serving nearly 25,000 participants.

Girls' Night Out - Focuses on emotional well-being, self-esteem, and recreational activities for 6th grade females.
