Volunteer

Why is volunteerism important?
Volunteerism is key to delivering charitable services within the community. It allows us to pursue our mission to provide programs and services to anyone regardless of their ability to pay. At the Greater Green Bay YMCA we are proud to staff our facilities with people of the utmost quality in order to provide our members and program participants with the safe environment that we strive to build and maintain. Therefore, all volunteers are subject to a criminal background check prior to volunteer assignment.

How can I volunteer at the YMCA?
There are many ways for you to volunteer at the YMCA including:

  • Policy Volunteers - serve on the board, committees and task groups setting policies and providing support for the three program centers, Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya and School Age Child Care.

  • Program Volunteers - get involved in numerous activities, lending special skills and acting as role models and guides for many youth, adults and families served by the YMCA.

  • Fund Raising Volunteers - actively solicit funds from the community to further advance the YMCA mission through the Partner with Youth Campaign.
