KIDS Camp (ages 5-10)

KIDS Camp operates weekly day camps throughout the summer for children ages 5-10. Social development, self-esteem, new skills, and character values are all part of the YMCA summer camp experience. KIDS Camp gives children an opportunity to explore and grow in a caring environment.

Campers are divided into groups by age. Day camp sessions are one-week long, Monday through Friday. Staff/child ratio is one staff to 12 children or less. Most staff members are college-age, and all have first-aid and CPR training.

Location
Located adjacent to the West Side YMCA in Howard, KIDS Camp is within walking distance to the Weyers-Hilliard Library, Meadowbrook Park and other Howard attractions.

Activities
Daily activities include swimming, camp games, theme activities and arts and crafts. Hikes to Weyers-Hilliard Library and Meadowbrook Park are often part of the week's activities. View a daily schedule at the top of the page.

Family Night
Parents and family members are encouraged to share in their camper's experience. Each Wednesday, campers remain at camp (THERE IS NO RETURN BUS ON WEDNESDAYS) until their families arrive at 5:30 pm. Parents are asked to bring a picnic dinner for their family. An entertaining program including skits, songs and camper recognition follows dinner starting at 6 pm.

Transportation
Bus transportation is available to KIDS Camp from two convenient Green Bay locations: the Downtown YMCA and Langlade Elementary School.

Before and After Camp
To assist parents in managing their time, KIDS Camp offers before and after camp care through our School Age Child Care Programs at three locations around the Green Bay area.  These locations are the Downtown YMCA, Langlade Elementary School, and the West Side YMCA.
