Amy Reineking, Senior Program Director
Hello everyone I’m so excited for another great summer at KIDS Camp!! This is my 6th summer overseeing KIDS Camp and my 10th summer overall working at YMCA Camps. During the school year, while anxiously waiting for the summer, I run the Teen, Family, and Community Development Programs at the West Side YMCA. When I’m not at work I enjoy organizing and fixing up my new house, training for triathlons and spending time with family and friends. I can’t wait to see all our returning campers, meet our new campers and have a great time singing silly songs and playing games out at camp.
Please let myself or any of the KIDS Camp staff know how we can help make this summer at KIDS Camp great!!

Laura, KIDS Camp Lead
My name is Laura and I am the Lead Counselor at KIDS Camp. I have a degree from UW Oshkosh in Cross-Categorical Special Education (grades 1-12) with an emphasis in emotional and behavioral disorders. This coming school year I will be teaching at Kaukauna High School in a classroom for students with emotional and behavioral disorders. In my free time I love to camp, fish, and garden and I look forward to sharing my love of the outdoors with your child. I believe that humor is the best medicine in life and I carry that idea with me each day at camp. I can’t wait to meet you and your child this summer!

Miranda, KIDS Camp Counselor
Hi everyone, I'm Miranda and I am looking forward to my second year as a counselor. Currently I am a sophomore at Carthage College pursuing a degree in Elementary Education and minors in French and Natural Science. I enjoyed camp so much last summer that there was no question whether or not I would come back. We got to go to the Zoo, a Timber Rattlers game, play water balloon capture the flag, and perform some pretty silly skits for family night. Besides all the fun activities and projects that we do at camp, I love to go rollerblading, read books, kayak, go camping, and play sand volleyball. Platy and I will be waiting for you out at camp, see you soon. |

Matt, KIDS Camp Counselor
Hello! My name is Matt and while this is my first summer as a counselor at KIDS Camp, I volunteered here for many years and am very excited to be back. I will be a sophomore at UW-Madison this fall and while I am still officially undecided for a major, I’m leaning pretty heavily towards Elementary Education. I spend a large amount of my free time with friends doing activities ranging from board games (I play a pretty mean game of Scattegories) to Wallyball. When not with them, I’m a bit of a television addict and constantly listening to music (you won’t often find me without my iPod). I can’t wait to meet all of this summer’s campers and be able to finally break out into camp songs again without people looking at me funny. Ultimately, I know this summer will be a memorable one for both the campers and for myself, and I can’t wait to get it started!

Kaity Carlson, KIDS Camp Intern
Hey! My name is Kaity Carlson and I am the KIDS Camp Intern for the YMCA this summer. I have been a Dance Instructor here at the Y for about 1 year, but am excited to get some fresh air this summer. I will be graduating in August from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Development. I enjoy dancing more than anything, but occasionally attempt to play other sports when I need a break from dance (though that very rarely happens…). I also like to be outside as often as possible and will never get sick of going on the swings at the park by my house or playing with sidewalk chalk. This summer, I look forward to working with the Teen Leadership Program at KIDS Camp, and going to theme parks (riding roller coasters is my secret love).
