Marcia: I am Marcia and I have been a Y employee for the past 10+ years. I started my career at the Y as a fitness instructor and have moved onward and upward to become the Member Experience Director of the Downtown YMCA. I have had a passion for health and wellness and member service for many years. I love sharing stories about our members who, through the Y, have learned to lead a healthier lifestyle. Although the Y is my life, I also have a family at home which includes a wonderful husband, three amazing sons, three dogs and two guinea pigs. If you come by the Downtown Y, stop in and say “hello”. I would love the opportunity to help you learn to live a healthier, happier life!
Shaun: Hi all! I have actually been with the YMCA since 2000, when I started as a camp counselor during college for 5 summers at Camp Wabansi. In 2006, I joined the Downtown YMCA Health & Wellness Team and currently I oversee the "Member Experience" at the Broadview Y. A native of Green Bay, I attended Preble High School before majoring in Physical & Health Education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. I am a music, movie and soccer fanatic. Besides working out in my spare time, I also enjoy running, golfing, rock climbing, ultimate Frisbee, and rec league softball and kickball. I live and breathe Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Manchester United. Most importantly, I love helping people reach their health and wellness goals and watching them achieve something they never thought possible. Stop by and see me at Broadview; I cannot wait to meet you and guide you to lifelong health & happiness.“The Journey is the Reward”
Stacy: My passion for health and wellness began over 15 years ago as a personal hobby. I have been involved with the YMCA for over 20 years as a member and group fitness instructor. I also have over 15 years of corporate leadership experience that included implementing healthy programs for the well-being of our employees. I am motivated to positively impact others’ lives as it relates to their personal health & wellness goals. As a leader of the YMCA I am able to make that difference as we strategize and continue to be innovative regarding the health of our members.
Ryan: A 2002 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point I have worked with the Greater Green Bay YMCA since 2007. With my position I am blessed to work with all walks of life in helping them achieve healthier, happy lives. The days are ever changing, from work within our School Age Child Care sites and our 21st Century programs, to our “young” Active Older Adults and everything in between.
The YMCA to me is more than a job; it is a way of life. Stepping away from the Health and Fitness Director role I am able to see firsthand the positive impact the YMCA has on the community of Green Bay. Come visit us and see why we are more than a gym, rather a place to belong. We are here to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities; and when we all pitch in every bit of that is possible!
