YMCA Personal Training Testimonials

“I listened to her and we started doing Saturday morning runs. And literally we ran most Saturdays that summer together or atleast one long run as she was determined I could do a half marathon that fall. Well, as she was right, we signed up for the Fox Cities Half Marathon and she ran the whole thing with me...keeping in check my pace, stamina, breathing ect. I must say it was the most rewarding feeling after to know I accomplished running 13.1 miles! Although I must say, I was rather sore and tired the next few days, but of course after that feeling went away I wanted to do another half marathon! So that following year I completed 2 more half marathons. In between time Heidi and I had talked about the full marathon distance and I thought she was crazy...again, but inside I kinda wanted to attempt it, just to say I ran a FULL marathon! She kept giving me words of motivation, advice, ect., which was critical as training for a full marathon is a completely different level of "fitness" so I was so thankful to know someone like Heidi. However, the spring came around which is when the full marathon was happening. I had trained all winter and finally ran the full 26.2 miles in the spring....what a major accomplishment that was!"
