The Kettlebell, which looks like a round weight with a handle, is rapidly making its way back into the fitness world. Members who participate in kettlebell classes offered at the YMCA will learn a logical and simple progression of kettlebell exercises. Starting with the basics, members will learn swings, dead lifts, snatches, and presses. From week to week, members will begin to see an increase in strength, stamina, mobility, and endurance.
Kettlebell classes provide an intense, all encompassing, full-body workout in a short amount of time. Due to increased levels of strength and endurance, the classes will help make daily functions for members easier, such as shoveling snow, carrying in groceries, or playing with their kids.
Kettlebells classes are offered in small group sessions. These small group sessions provide a safe and supportive environment that will help you stay motivated throughout the workout.
