Let's tip it off and play some basketball. This program places emphasis on participation, skills, values and fun rather than winning. The first two weeks are team practice, the remaining fiver are games. (No score is kept.)
Micro Soccer ages 4-8
The basics of soccer on a smaller field with fewer players to guarantee your child time with the ball.
YMCA Youth Baseball ages 4-8
Grab your glove and let's play ball! T-ball bats off the tee and Y-ball pitches from a coach or a machine. Fun instructional league includes modified games. Everyone bats each inning, no score is kept.
Outdoor Lacrosse grades 3rd-8th
Lacrosse is one of the nation's fastest growing sports. It is a game of ten players per team who use netted sticks in order to pass a small rubber ball between players working towards scoring a goal. Emphasis will be on fundamentals including catching, passing, scooping, dodging and defense. Emphasis in scrimmages will be on teamwork, skill development and sportsmanship.
Girls Volleyball grades 2nd-7th
The Broadview, East Side and West Side YMCAs are offering girls in grades 2-7 the opportunity to build skills and play games. Play volleyball Saturday mornings; times will vary week to week.
Sunday night Rat Roller Hockey ages 6-12
Featuring games, players must be able to skate and have the understanding of hockey. Pucks and training goals are provided. Participants are required to have a helmet with face mask, inline hockey skates with rubber wheels, hockey gloves and a mouth guard. Held at the Broadview YMCA.
Adrenaline Push Skateboarding ages 7-13
Beginners to advance riders will learn skills using rails, kickers ramps and quarter pipe. Grinds, jumps, rail slides and dropping in are just a few of the things that will be covered in this class. Students must provide their own skateboard, helmet, knee, and elbow and wrist pads.
