1. Who can volunteer at the Y? Anyone, ages 14 or older, can volunteer at the Y. At the Y, we look for volunteers with a passion to strengthen our community. All program volunteers must complete an application and criminal background check prior to beginning volunteer service.
2. How do I volunteer at the Y? Browse our current opportunities. Complete a volunteer application(applications are also available at the front desk of all our facilities). Within a few days of recieving your application, the Y's volunteer coordinator will contact you by phone and conduct a brief phone screen. Once the Y has a better idea of how your talents and skills can be put to use, we will look to place you in the right position. A Y staff member will setup a time to meet you in person and a final determination will be made about your volunteer service. This process can take a few days, but sometimes it can take a few months. Again, our cause is strengthening our community and it's our goal to make sure that all Y staff and volunteers are high quality.
