Healthy Kids Day Photo Gallery
As a free and family-friendly community event, we welcomed 2,500 people to the 14th Annual Healthy Kids Day at Shopko Hall. The goal of Healthy Kids Day is a simple one; to educate, excite and energize kids and their families to live active and healthy lifestyles. Healthy Kids Day reflects perfectly on the Y’s 3 focus areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility . . . and it is also a whole lot of fun!
Kids of all ages enjoyed bouncing the day away on trampolines and conquering the rockwall, dancing and hooping, and navigating the bike rodeo with their new free bike helmets on to keep them safe. Children had an opportunity to run in the 1st of 4 half-mile or full mile Healthy Kids Fun Runs and were cheered on by area mascots at the finish line. We were able to share the many opportunities that the Y has to offer children through our Fit Kids activities, dance, exploring summer camps, healthy snacks, crafts and everyone’s favorite game, GaGa.
Check out all of the fun in the video highlights and photos below and mark your calendars - Healthy Kids Day is the first Saturday in May every year! #HKDGB
This would not have been the success that it was without our community’s support and over 150 Y volunteers and staff – thank you!
