Father Child Weekend

Father Child Weekend is time for your family to grow together. This weekend is a win for the whole family – Dad gets to bring the kids to camp to experience winter to the fullest and Mom gets a weekend to relax! Share all your favorite Wisconsin winter activities with the kids and maybe find a new favorite along the way - we offer programming for all ages and interests. After a long day in the snow, our campfire program provides an opportunity to share your talents, have a good laugh, and get to know the special community of fathers and kids who come together each year for this winter tradition.

Lodging

During Father Child Weekend, dads and kids stay in our heated and winterized cabins.  Each cabin has a fireplace and wood is included in your stay. When registering, be sure to list the friends you would like to bunk with, that way you all can stay together. You’ll need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow for our bunk beds, a twin sized set of linens works well too. Check out our virtual tour of camp to view the cabins on site.

Dining

All meals are provided by camp!  Our outstanding kitchen staff prepare a huge spread of food for each meal with different options for young and old alike.  From Friday night to Sunday morning you will have all the fuel you need to stay warm and active!  If you have any special dietary needs please indicate that during registration.  We can accommodate most special diets. You can bring snacks to keep in your cabin but please don’t bring anything with peanuts, we are a peanut free facility.

" My family and I have had the good fortune to do a good bit of traveling and have experienced some really fun and exciting things. There's a difference between fun vacations and special vacations. Weekends like this definitely fall under the "special" category. Experiences like this don't just provide entertainment, they provide lasting memories that will stay with us for a long time. 25 years from now my son will be telling my grandchildren about the year we went to Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya and it was -25 degrees out. Special time indeed."

Winter Camp for Kids

Kids get to experience winter in a way they can’t experience it anywhere else at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya! One of the greatest gifts you can give to your child is a trip to winter camp to give them a space to reconnect with the outdoors and make new friends. Winter camp is a three-day, two-night program that provides children with a refreshing outdoor experience in the middle of the school year. Campers will live in the cabins with our summer camp counselors, play in the snow, and end the day with hot chocolate by the campfire this winter at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya! It's the perfect time to get the kids out of the house and enjoy a weekend break while they run and play in a fun, safe, and adventurous winter wonderland.
