Water Classes at the Y
The Green Bay YMCA offers group exercise classes on land as well as in the water. Each week, several group exercise water classes are held at the Y's four locations. Aqua Dance Blast ages 14+
Dance to the beat of the music in the water! Enjoy the fun of dancing with little or no impact on the joints in this exciting and invigorating choreographed dance fitness class. This is a great cardiovascular workout that is done in shallow water. Aqua Dance Blast uses the water's natural resistance to get your heart rate up. Swimming skills not required.
Aqua Fitness ages 14+
A great 45- to 60- minute cardiovascular workout that's easy on the joints. This shallow water class uses the water's natural resistance to get your heart rate up and strengthen your muscles. Swimming skills are not required.
Aqua Zumba® ages 14+
This class is a 45- to 60- minute cardio workout known as the Zumba “pool party”. Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.
Deep Water Conditioning ages 14+
This challenging 45-minute class uses interval training techniques and the water's natural resistance to increase cardiovascular endurance while wearing a floatation belt.
ForeverWell Joint Movement ages 14+
A warm water class that focuses on relieving joint pain through range of motion, gentle stretching, balance and postural awareness.
ForeverWell Waterworks ages 14+
Fun, shallow-water exercise to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. A variety of equipment is used to improve strength, balance and coordination with little to no impact on joints.
