Elizabeth Fischer, WEST SIDE
Certified Personal Trainer – ASCM | Certified Wellness Practitioner - NWI | Health Promotion & Wellness - UWSP
AREA OF SPECIALTY:
Adaptive Strength and Movement Training, Sports Performance, and Circuit Training
My career in the wellness field began while I was working through my undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. I was able to have a semester of learning and implementing fitness assessments, and was also part of the team that organized the wellness program for faculty and staff on campus. As the final step for completing my undergrad program, I spent over 800 hours as an intern at an EXOS Performance facility in San Diego, California. My training style has been strongly influenced by what I learned while spending that time coaching everyone from professional athletes to high school students and beyond.
I believe fitness exercises should be translated from the movement patterns of everyday life to develop a strong foundation for functional wellbeing. It’s never too late to start today for a healthier tomorrow.
MY PASSION FOR FITNESS COMES FROM:
My family has endured significant loss due to unhealthy lifestyle choices, so by being in the wellness field I hope to prevent other people from experiencing the same, mostly preventable, heartbreak.
MY FAVORITE TRAINING TOOL:
MY FAVORITE QUOTE OR MOTIVATIONAL SAYING:
“Strive for progress, not perfection.” Too many people are willing to disregard their achievements on the account that they didn’t accomplish their end goal, even though they made considerable progress from where they started.
FUN FACT ABOUT ME:
I have a twin brother.
