Y Learning Academy
We are excited to be able to support you, the children and families in our community, during the unique and uncertain 2020-21 academic year. The Y Learning Academy is designed to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children who are taking part in virtual learning with their school district. It is our goal to provide your student with a supportive setting to engage with their respective school teachers and curriculum and to enhance that learning with Y fun such as physical activity, healthy snack, mindfulness & movement time, social peer time, and enrichment afterschool clubs like art, STEM, and games.

Safety
Your child’s safety is our top priority and we have implemented practices and protocols in accordance with guidance from the CDC, Department of Health Services, Department of Children & Families and Brown County Public Health Department. These will be reviewed in your family handbook and the virtual orientation, as well as taught to your students when they arrive.
We will practice the following health and wellness steps, among others that will be shared in the family handbook;
- Masks are required of all program participants and staff members. The exception to this is while swimming during afterschool club time.
- Proper handwashing and sanitizing of hands, spaces and supplies will be done frequently throughout the day.
- Group sizes will be limited so as to allow for appropriate physical distancing.
- Staff are screened for their temperature daily and respond to health screening questions.
- Participants are asked health screening questions upon check-in.
As always, if someone is not feeling well or exhibiting signs of illness, they will be asked to stay home.
