As we celebrate the YMCA’s 175 years of strengthening communities, we’re kicking off another summer of fun, learning and growth at Healthy Kids Day!

Healthy Kids Day is a national initiative celebrated at Ys across the country to help inspire healthy habits in kids, families and the community. For over 30 years, Ys have celebrated Healthy Kids Day by hosting a variety of free, community-facing events and activities focused on active play, nutrition education, STEM and the arts, and so much more.

Healthy Kids Day will take place April 18, 2026 at our East Side YMCA. Free event, no registration required.

    Red Light Therapy Experience

    Curious about how red-light therapy can support your health and recovery? Join us during Coffee and Conversation on April 13 for an engaging session exploring how this innovative treatment may help reduce pain, improve skin health, and boost overall wellness!

    You will hear directly from a knowledgeable presenter and have the opportunity to try real red-light therapy beds for yourself. Registration not required.

    Springtime Arts & Splash

    Spring Break Combo for Kids Ages 6-13!

    Arts & Splash is the perfect Spring Break combo for kids ages 6-13! Participants will start the day getting creative with fun arts and crafts projects, using their imagination to make something unique to take home. After crafting time, kids will head to the pool for an exciting swim session full of splashing, games, and water fun. It’s a great way to mix creativity and active play while making new friends during Spring Break!

    Underwater Easter Egg Hunt

    Celebrate Easter with a splash at the Y! Join us for a fun-filled egg hunt in the Activity Pool where the Easter Bunny has hidden colorful eggs both floating on the surface and resting on the bottom of the pool.

    Swimmers of all abilities are welcome to jump in, search for eggs, and enjoy the excitement of this underwater adventure! Bring your friends and family for some splash-tastic easter fun! ALL participants under 8 must be accompanied in the water by an adult 16+.

    Ages 0-3: 10:00-10:45am
    Ages 3-5: 11:00-11:45am
    Ages 6-8: 12:00-12:45pm
