Empowering Lives with Parkinson’s Through Exercise

At the Green Bay YMCA, our Exercising with Parkinson’s program offers personalized workouts designed to enhance mobility and strength. Each class includes resistance training, the use of specially-designed treadmills, and evidence-based techniques tailored to individual needs. Led by expert physical therapists, this program supports participants in managing symptoms and improving quality of life.

Join us the final of four educational events focused on supporting people diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease as part of the Journey to Wellness Series.

Your overall health and well-being is important, this includes your physical, sleep, nutrition, emotional, and social well-being. Making sure these are well-controlled can make your other treatments and care more effective! Come learn from the Emplify Health by Bellin lifestyle medicine provider, dietitian, and YMCA fitness team about how to maximize your health in these areas.

Join us for the second of four educational events focused on supporting people diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease as part of the Journey to Wellness Series.

Being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease can be overwhelming for both the individual and their loved ones. Come learn from the Emplify Health by Bellin Neuropsychology and Case Management Teams about coping strategies and community resources to better serve your emotional well-being. You will have an opportunity to visit with representatives from our community, including the Aging and Disability Resource Center, Options for Independent Living, and Curative Connections.

Multidisciplinary therapy services are often indicated throughout the lifespan of Parkinson’s Disease. Come learn more about how physical therapy can help address changes in movement and balance, how occupational therapy can help address fine motor difficulties and self-care activities, and how speech therapy can help address soft voice and cognitive changes.

Our goal is to partner with you to enhance your quality of life, keeping you functioning at the highest level possible and helping you thrive in each of your roles.
