Summer Programs (June 14 - August 28)

Over 600 offerings with starting points throughout the summer. Between our 1-day, 3-day, 1-week, 4-week, and 9-week program options, we have something to offer even the busiest of families!

Youth, Teen, Family   VIEW YOUTH/TEEN/FAMILY DATES & TIMES »

Mad Science Jr. (ages 6-8)
Calling all Junior scientists! This class will take your child on a science adventure filled with activities. Each day will highlight a different aspect of science to explore such as flight, gooey science, Build it and more! The activities are geared towards our younger friends and led by our fun Y staff.

Ooey Gooey Jr (ages 6-8)
Your child will create ooeey gooey science projects in this 2 day mini class. The slimey science activities are geared towards our younger friends and are led by our fun Y staff.

Art-tastic Jr (ages 6-8)
Your child will explore their creative side in this two day mini art session. They will work with several art mediums such as paint and clay to create masterpieces as they discover their own personal style. The activities are geared towards our younger friends and led by our fun Y staff.

Bubble Fun (ages 6-8)
Come join our Bubble fun! Your child will enjoy making bubbles of all sizes and shapes while we explore different bubble recipes in this two day mini session.

Build it - Birdhouse (ages 6-8)
Join us for some building fun in this two day mini session. Your child will learn to use basic tools to build and paint a simple birdhouse in this fun class led by our Y staff.

Garden Club 2 (ages 8-12)
Do you have a green thumb or would just like to learn how to garden? Our future gardeners will have opportunities to work in our outdoor garden learning the basics of outdoor gardening through a variety of learning activities and experiences. Messy fun for all!

Tech Camp (ages 8-11)
Do you enjoy using different technology to learn and play? This one-day camp is for you! Participants will work with different types of technology tools such as coding software, 3D pens, robots and so much more. We will explore the world of technology through an exciting variety of activities and challenges.

City Explorers - Fishing Fun (ages 8-11)
Join us for this fun filled half day camp that explores the fun places in Green Bay. We will explore to a variety of local points of interest with a Nature focus along with an afternoon of Fishing by the Fox. We will explore rain or shine so please dress for the weather!

City Explorers - City Walk (ages 8-11)
Join us for this fun filled half day camp that explores the fun places in Green Bay. Daily walking field trips to a variety of local points of interest during this community exploration. Places of interest may include Neville Museum, Leicht Park, Public LIbrary, Astor Park District and more. We will explore rain or shine so please dress for the weather!

Shark Attack (ages 8-11)
Join us for a fun filled mini camp with a shark theme! We will explore the world of sharks through activities, learning and games led by our fun Y staff. Your child will have an opportunity to ride the floating shark in the pool during swim time. Sure to be "shark-riffic" time!

Girls' Night Out - Summer Edition (5th grade)
Girls Night Out Summer is a designed just for 5th graders. Each night, our participants will have a theme to explore, social time, healthy snack, and physical activity. We will explore topics like healthy choices, getting ready for 6th grade, life skills, and positive friendships. This program is open and welcoming to all 5th graders regardless of gender identity or expression.

Boys' Night Out - Summer Edition (5th grade)
Boys Night Out Summer is designed for 5th graders interested in making new friends, learning new skills and having a whole lot of fun along the way. Boys Night Out is led by Y staff and volunteers. Each week, our participants will develop new skills, engage in a fun physical activity, and build great relationships! We will discover topics like healthy decision making, leadership, and how to work well with others. This program is open and welcoming to all 5th grade youth regardless of gender identity or expression.

Let's Get Ready to Babysit (ages 10-13)
Our fun and fast-paced class will include scenarios and interactive activities. Our topics will consist of lessons in child development, age-appropriate play, behavior challenges & solutions, first aid & safety, handling emergencies, and communication with parents. *Please bring a lunch*

On My Own at Home (ages 10-12)
Participants will learn how to stay busy and safe when at home alone, how to check for safety & dangers at home, how to handle emergency situations, simple skills for first aid, and how to make small snacks that are safe to eat.

Beginner Skateboarding Camp (ages 6-14)
The Beginner Skateboarding Camp is a great way for your young one to help break out of their shell! It builds confidence by functioning through fear and teaching them not only the basics of skateboarding, but what they are really capable of (which is a lot!). All safety and skateboarding equipment is provided. This program is in partnership with our friends from GBASO.

Strider Bike Camp (ages 3-5)
Strider camp is a fun way to introduce biking! A Strider bike is a balance bike with no pedals to learn the FUNdamentals of bike riding. A Strider bike and pads will be provided. This program is in partnership with our friends at GBASO.


Dance   VIEW DANCE DATES & TIMES »  

Child with Adult Rhythm & Movement (ages 2-3)
Get ready to boogie! Partner with your child in a variety of fun, exciting dances as you spend quality time dancing to the beat. Parent participation is one-on-one with your child.

Ballet, Tap & Jazz Dance (ages 3-4)
Introduction to the art of dance focusing on the basics of ballet, tap, and jazz. Develop and enhance gross motor skills, listening skills, and positive peer interaction. Classes include fun and easy dance steps that change each session. Music and props are used to build coordination and self-esteem. The final class is an informal observation day. Tap shoes and ballet slippers required.

Learn the basic techniques and names for tap, ballet, and jazz dance steps. Emphasis is placed on proper body placement, learning steps to music, and having fun. The final class is an informal observation day. Tap shoes and ballet slippers required.

Hip Hop Dance (ages 6-13)
High energy dance classes with current music your child can relate to. Youth dance classes foster confidence, teamwork, and healthy exercise. Hip hop class will learn fun and funky routines with individual instruction. Utilizes basic hip hop moves that are age-appropriate.

Dance Medley (ages 6-13)
High energy dance classes with current music your child can relate to. Youth dance classes foster confidence, teamwork, and healthy exercise through the love of dance. Pom and hip hop dances will be learned. Classes meet twice per week.

Ballerina Princess Party (ages 3-6)
A wonderful experience for your 3-6 year old to interact with like-minded princesses. Dress up as a beautiful princess, dance spin, and twirl during this fun dance party. Craft included.

Tiny Trolls Dance Party (ages 3-6)
Can't stop the feelin' to get up and dance? A fun event for kids who love Trolls and moving to the beat.


Gymnastics   VIEW GYMNASTICS DATES & TIMES »

Child with Adult Gymnastics (age 2)
Have fun with your child as you explore the beginnings of gymnastics. Great for toddlers or for children not quite ready to be on their own. Spotting techniques will be introduced on all four events (vault, bars, beam, and floor). Parent participation is one-on-one with your child. Due to COVID 19 physical distancing guidelines, our staff will give you the needed instruction to safely spot your child as they learn gymnastics skills.

Child with Adult Gymnastics (ages 3-4)
Your child will increase in strength, flexibility, coordination, and self-confidence while they tumble, swing, and have fun. Participants will be introduced to the basics of all four gymnastics events: vault, bars, beam, and floor. Parent participation is one-on-one with your child. Due to COVID 19 physical distancing guidelines, our staff will give you the needed instruction to safely spot your child as they learn gymnastics skills.

Beginner Gymnastics (ages 5-13)
Gain confidence and strength while learning basic gymnastics skills in this introductory gymnastics class. No prior experience necessary. Participants will learn independence and practice skills on floor, beam, bars, and vault.

Intermediate Gymnastics (ages 6-13) 
Prerequisite: Beginner Gymnastics skills passed.

A great class that builds confidence while utilizing all of the equipment in the gymnastics center to enhance skill level. The following intermediate level skills are the focus while working on form and technique:

  • Floor: cartwheels, handstand holds, jumps
  • Bars: casting, forward roll, chin up
  • Beam: relevé walks, jumps high kicks
  • Vault: squat on, straights, jump to stick

Advanced (ages 6-13)
Prerequisite: Intermediate Gymnastics skills passed.

A great class that builds confidence while utilizing all of the equipment in the gymnastics center to enhance skill level. The following advanced level skills are the focus while working on form and technique:

  • Floor: backbend kickover, handstand forward roll, round off
  • Bars: pullover, back hip circle, underswing
  • Beam: lever in and out, leaps, turns
  • Vault: pike on, hollow body fall, table top position

Gymnastics Camp (ages 5-13)
No school? No problem! Tumble, bounce, and swim the day away in Gymnastics Camp. A fun-filled day for anyone who loves to be upside down. Craft and snack included. Bring sack lunch, swim suit, and towel.

Child with Adult Sports Medley (ages 2-3)
Help your child learn the basics of a medley of sports. Drills and activities are paired with teamwork to allow you and your child to experience sports in an age-appropriate environment. Parent participation is one-on-one with your child.

Preschool Basketball (ages 3-4)
Have fun with sports by learning basic sports skills in an environment that is welcoming and fun. Sport classes create a foundation for a positive lifetime sports experience and build independence for those new to formal classes.

Preschool T-Ball (ages 3-4)
Have fun with sports by learning basic sports skills in an environment that is welcoming and fun. Sport classes create a foundation for a positive lifetime sports experience and build independence for those new to formal classes.

Preschool Football (ages 3-4)
Have fun with sports by learning basic sports skills in an environment that is welcoming and fun. Sport classes create a foundation for a positive lifetime sports experience and build independence for those new to formal classes.

Preschool Sports Medley (ages 3-4)

Mini Ninja (ages 3-4)
The focus is developing motor skills through mobility, balance, power, strength and endurance. We want to create a strong mind and body through fitness in a fun and safe manner. Setting and achieving goals will help boost self-confidence and self-worth.

Superhero Party (ages 3-6)
Dress like your favorite superhero and leap tall buildings with a single bound! Crafts, snacks and superhero-themed activities designed to keep your 3-6 year old active!

Fundamental T-Ball (ages 4-6)
Fundamental T-Ball is a 45-minute sports class where your child will learn the basics of baseball/softball such as catching, throwing, positions, and batting. This program uses soft core balls and will bat off the tee.

Fundamental Flag Football (ages 5-6)
A program that offers the fundamental skills of Flag Football in a 7-on-7 format. Your child will learn positions & roles, receiving, throwing and running while building confidence, showing good sportsmanship and teamwork. Fundamental Sports runs 45 minutes.

Fundamental Soccer (ages 4-5)
A 45-minute class where we teach the basic skills on a smaller field with fewer players while developing values of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and self esteem. We will incorporate scrimmages to put their skills into action during the session.

Recreational Soccer (ages 6-8)
A 45-minute class where we teach the basic skills on a smaller field with fewer players while developing values of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and self esteem. We will incorporate scrimmages to put their skills into action during the session.

Recreational Flag Football (ages 7-10)
Recreational Sports work on developmental skills with more advanced curriculum in a league format. Week 1 is a team practice. Weeks 2-7 begin with a 30-minute practice followed by a 45-minute game.

Ninja Warrior Jr. (ages 5-8)
We focus on developing motor skills through mobility, balance, power, strength, and endurance. We want to create a strong mind and body through fitness in a fun and safe manner. By learning new obstacles, we help athletes develop a positive mindset towards themselves and others. Setting and achieving goals will help boost self-confidence and self-worth.

Ninja Warrior Camp (ages 5-13)
Our Ninja Warrior obstacle course training will challenge you to become stronger, more confident, and increase your body control. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and bag lunch for this fun, all day camp!

Coach Pitch Recreational Softball (ages 7-10)
Coach Pitch is a 45-minute sports class where your child will continue to develop fundamental skills while playing in a more competitive setting. They will learn the values of good sportsmanship, team work, skill development, self esteem, and confidence in a fun atmosphere.

Coach Pitch Recreational Baseball (ages 7-10)
Coach Pitch is a 45-minute sports class where your child will continue to develop fundamental skills while playing in a more competitive setting. They will learn the values of good sportsmanship, team work, skill development, self esteem, and confidence in a fun atmosphere.


Swim Lessons   VIEW SWIM LESSONS DATES & TIMES »

Child with Adult Swim Lessons (ages 6 months-2 years)
Accompanied by an adult, infants and toddlers learn to be comfortable in the water and develop swim readiness skills through fun and confidence-building experiences, while parents learn about water safety, drowning prevention, and the importance of supervision. A parent or family member from the same household, at least 16 years old, is required to be in the water with the child; 1 adult maximum.

Child with Adult Swim Lessons (ages 2-4)
Students develop comfort with underwater exploration, safe ways to enter and exit the water, body position and control, and movement through the water. A parent or family member from the same household, at least 16 years old, is required to be in the water with the child; 1 adult maximum.

Preschool Swim Lessons (ages 3-5)
Students develop comfort with underwater exploration, safe ways to enter and exit the water, body position and control, and movement through the water.

Youth Stages 1-3 Swim Lessons (ages 6-13)
Students develop comfort with underwater exploration, safe ways to enter and exit the water, body position and control, movement through the water, and will be introduced to combining skills. 

Youth Stages 4-6 Swim Lessons (ages 6-13)
Students will focus on all developing all major strokes in a class designed to increase stamina, and fluency in the water. Students will learn about competitive swimming and how to continue to utilize swimming as a part of a healthy lifestyle. Must have completed Stages 1-3.

Pre-Team (ages 5-15)
Pre-Team Development is an introductory class to GBY Competitive Swimming. The four competitive strokes are refined as well as other competitive swimming fundamentals such as starts and turns. Swimmer must be able to swim multiple lengths (25 yards) of the front crawl (freestyle) with rotary breathing. Must have successfully completed Youth Stage 5.
