FAMILY PROGRAMS
FAMILY ORIENTATION
This program educates youth in wellness and fitness, establishes a lifestyle of fitness at a young age, and encourages parents and kids (ages 8-10) to work out together. The course encompasses the mission and core values of the YMCA, the benefits and risks of exercise, and the policies and etiquette of the Wellness Center.
Participants will learn how to use the cardiovascular equipment. Participation is required during this hands-on program. Once a youth has completed the program, they will receive a disposable orange wristband each time they visit the Y, signifying they have been taught how to use the Wellness Center. This program is free to Y members and can be scheduled at the front desk.
*Parent/guardian is required to attend with child.
PARENTS' NIGHT OUT
Parents - it's your turn! Parents' Night Out is a YMCA staff supervised program where children are engaged in age-appropriate structured and free play. Children 3 and older will be served dinner and given an opportunity to participate in swimming activities.
